CyberPhysics 101 - Is Information a State of Physics?

Four of the five states of matter – gases, liquids, solids and plasmas were all well studied for decades, maybe centuries. Then, the “fifth state of matte”, the Bose-Einstein condensates was created in the lab in the 1990s.

As mysterious as these five states of matter can be, is information also a state of matter?

Soon we will take a slightly deeper look into information as a state of matter, including how this relates to entropy and the second law of thermodynamics.
